The great plains project
Today my production teamed finished our half of shooting for “The Great Plains Project.” To say that the last ten days were an adventure would be an understatement. There was nothing quite like feeling the nights turn from humid heat on the Pecos River to brisky cold just north of Lincoln, Nebraska.
The people we met along the way, planned and impromptu, were wealths of knowledge I had not considered before. The Great Plains is that ‘fly-over’ country people hardly venture nowadays, and the world scarcely considers what lies on and through this land of grain, cattle, and pioneering people. I’m excited to see who the second group in our production comes across, because my experience blew the doors open on my amazement of the Plains. This is one of those experiences that I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life, and is yet another reminder of how adventure and intrigue can come in the forms that you least expect them to.
