Snowy Sabbath

I think many would agree that a winter storm like yesterday’s would be the Cousin Eddy of West Texas weather; we couldn’t have been more surprised at how big the flurries were and how strong the wind blew. Why is it that a simple change in temperature and precipitation can make us dramatically hearken back to when we were kids playing outside like the rest of the world had gone quiet? I’m not sure, but maybe I’m happy not knowing the answer to that question.

Even though Mr. Punxsutawney didn’t see his shadow at the beginning of the month, we still got one last hug from old-man winter. It was a delight to be certain, but I think I’m ready for the embrace of warmer weather. Could it even be time to go back to a desert I’m all too familiar with? The future looks bright for my sense of adventure and yesterday was a good omen. Hope y’all have a wonderful week!!
